`June 30th, 2012 - Dereck concluded a five race stretch with the Casey's USMTS National Championship Series on Saturday night with a $4,000-to-win event at Upper Iowa Speedway (Decorah, Iowa). With twenty-five entries in the pit area a seventh to second run in his heat race locked him into the redraw for the feature, where he was the recipient of the fourth starting spot. In the 40 lap feature Dereck battled in the top five for much of the event before crossing the finish line in sixth behind race winner, Ryan Gustin, Zack VanderBeek, Jon Tesch, and Jeremy Payne.

`June 29th, 2012 - Dereck traveled to Highway 3 Raceway (Allison, Iowa) on Friday night for a $4,000-to-win, Casey's USMTS National Championship event. Thirty-one entries registered for battle, and in heat race action he finished third, which locked him into the thirteenth starting spot for the main event. He would battle around mid-pack for the duration of the feature event before registering a twelfth place finish at the checkered flag. Full results are available at www.USMTS.com.

June 28th, 2012 - Thursday night's Casey's USMTS National tour event at Fairmont Raceway (Fairmont, Minnesota) saw the `team battle issues throughout the event in what would prove to be a frustrating outing. Thirty competitors were on hand for the $4,000-to-win event, and in heat race action started third before slipping to a fourth place finish, which earned him the sixteenth starting spot in the 35 lap, main event. Unfortunately his night would come to an end on lap 24 with mechanical issues. He was credited with a 25th place finish in the final rundown. Full results are available at www.USMTS.com.

`June 27th, 2012 - The Casey's USMTS National tour rolled into Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minnesota) on Wednesday night for a $4,000-to-win event, and fifty-three drivers signed in for action. He would struggle throughout heat race and b-main action with mechanical issues, which forced him to utilize a provisional to start the main event in the twenty-eighth position. After starting at the tail of the field Ramirez passed ten cars to record an eighteenth place finish at the checkered flag. Full results are available at www.USMTS.com.

June 26th, 2012 - Dereck began a five night stretch on Tuesday evening with the Casey's USMTS tour at Mineral City Speedway (Fort Dodge, Iowa). `The $2,000-to-win, Casey's Cup Series event drew twenty entries, and in his heat race he advanced from the fifth starting spot to a third place finish to lock into the redraw for the 30 lap feature. In the redraw he received the second starting spot with Kelly Shryock starting to his inside. As the race went green Dereck assumed the second spot with Shryock in the top spot. Ramirez would go on to race in the top five for the duration of the event before recording a fifth place finish behind race winner, Rodney Sanders, Ryan Gustin, Kelly Shryock, and Jason Hughes. `June 23rd, 2012 - It was a doubleheader weekend for the team on the Casey's USMTS trail with a pair of $4,000-to-win, national tour events in Kansas and Missouri. On Friday night forty-one competitors converged on Humboldt Speedway (Humboldt, Kansas). The night started on a strong note for Dereck as a ninth to second run in his heat locked him into the redraw for the 40 lap feature, where he was the recipient of the fifth starting spot. Unfortunately his luck would take a turn for the worst near the midway point of the feature, when mechanical woes ended his night on lap 18. He was credited with a twenty-third place finish.

On Saturday evening the team traveled to Valley Speedway (Grain Valley, Missouri) as they looked to put Friday night's disappointment behind them. He would once again start deep in his heat race grid before advancing to a second place finish to find himself in the redraw for the second straight night. After receiving the sixth starting spot for the 50 lap feature Ramirez would race in the top ten throughout the feature before crossing the finish line in the ninth position.

`June 16th, 2012 - Saturday evening found Dereck entering the second night of the Casey's USMTS doubleheader at Cedar Lake Speedway (New Richmond, Wisconsin). With 41 entries on hand much of the night would prove to be an uphill battle. Heat race action found him starting sixth, but with passing being difficult on a fast track, he would be unable to advance any positions as he finished sixth. As a result, he started eighth in a b-main, and would advance two spots to a sixth place finish to earn the twenty-fourth starting spot for the $2,000-to-win feature. Despite starting deep in the field he advanced twelve spots on his way to a twelfth place finish at the checkered flag. For his efforts he also received the Mesilla Valley Transportation Hard Charger Award for passing more competitors than any other driver in the main event. `June 15th, 2012 - On Friday night the team finally resumed action with the Casey's USMTS tour after seeing events on Wednesday and Thursday washed away by Mother Nature. Forty entries were on hand for the $2,000-to-win, 35 lap event. Dereck began his night by advancing from the seventh starting spot to a third place finish in the third heat to lock into the redraw for the main event. For the feature he received the third starting spot and would battle in the top five for the duration of the feature before crossing the finish line in the fifth spot behind race winner, Ryan Gustin, Rodney Sanders, Dave Cain, and Joey Jensen. June 2nd, 2012 - The team traveled to Ark-La-Tex Speedway (Vivian, Louisiana) over the weekend for the $10,000-to-win, 6th Annual Doug Murphrey Memorial, which saw 93 of the top competitors in the country in action at the 1/4 mile, high-banked oval. In Friday night's preliminary action, the competitors drew for starting spots in two separate heat race. In the first heat, Ramirez started eleventh before finishing fifth, and in the second heat he started on the front row before claiming the win. Via his two heat performances, he earned the fourth starting spot for a qualifier, and he would advance to a third place finish. Via his qualifier performance he locked into the 15th starting spot for Saturday night's finale. In the main event he passed eight cars on his way to a seventh place finish.
