1September 22nd, 2012 - The 14th Annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree came to a close on Saturday night with a $5,000-to-win event at the 3/8 mile oval in an event that also served as the final round of the the USMTS Casey's Cup Series. After finishing third in the third heat race Dereck started third in the fifth b-main before advancing to claim the win, which locked him into the twentieth starting spot for the 50 lap finale. He would race around mid-pack for much of the event before crossing the finish line in the fourteenth position.

Dereck finished ninth in the final standings for the USMTS Casey's Cup. Full results from the event and the final standings are available at www.USMTS.com.

September 21st, 2012 - Night #2 of the 14th Annual Featherlite Fall 1Jamboree was contested on Friday night at Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minnesota) as a $4,000-to-win purse was on the line for more than 100 of the nation's best, Open Wheel Modified pilots. A second place finish in his heat race relegated him to a b-main, where he started second. He would go on to finish third to earn the twenty-seventh starting spot for the 40 lap finale. In the main event he passed eleven cars to record a sixteenth place finish at the checkered flag. Full results from the event are available at www.USMTS.com.

September 20th, 2012 - The 14th Annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree at Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minnesota) came to life on Thursday night as a talented field of 115 of the nation's best, Casey's USMTS competitors filled the pit area for the first of three nights at the famous oval. With eight heat races being contested Dereck started the night by finishing sixth in the first heat race, which resulted in him starting seventh in the fourth b-main. Despite starting deep in the b-main he stormed to the win to lock into the nineteenth starting spot for the $3,000-to-win, 35 lap finale. In the feature he would again mount a charge forward as he passed nine cars on his way to a tenth place finish at the checkered flag. Full results from the event are available at www.USMTS.com.

`September 9th, 2012 - Ramirez Motorsports contested four events in three days over the weekend with the Casey's USMTS tour.

The weekend opened on Friday evening at Ogilvie Raceway (Ogilvie, Minnesota) with not only a complete $4,000-to-win event, but also the make-up feature from the August 15th feature, which was postponed by rain. In the $3,000-to-win make-up feature Dereck started in the thirteenth position before advancing one spot to finish thirteenth.

In the new program on Friday night, which was part of the Casey's USMTS National Championship Series, a field of thirty-one competitors converged on the facility, and a ninth to third run in his heat race sent Ramirez to the redraw, where he was presented with the eighth starting spot for the 40 lap finale. After racing in the top ten throughout the event Dereck crossed the finish line in the eighth position.

Saturday evening again found the team at Ogilvie Raceway (Ogilvie, Minnesota) as another $4,000-to-win Casey's USMTS National Championship Series program was contested. Thirty-seven drivers registered for action, and after passing five cars to finish third in his heat race Dereck found himself in the redraw for the second straight night. The redraw would be much kinder to Ramirez than the night before as he was presented with the third starting spot for the 40 lap finale. He raced in the top five for the duration of the event before recording a third place finish behind race winner, Jeremy Payne, and Kelly Shryock.

The ultra-busy weekend drew to a close on Sunday evening at Granite City Speedway (Sauk Rapids, Minnesota) with a $3,000-to-win race. Twenty-three entries were on hand for the program, and via preliminary action Ramirez earned the seventh starting spot for the 40 lap feature. During the course of the event he clawed his way forward to a fourth place finish behind race winner, Stormy Scott, Ryan Gustin, and Jason Hughes.

Dereck finished eighth in the final Casey's USMTS National Championship standings and is currently ninth in the latest Hunt for the Casey's USMTS Cup battle. Full results from all three events as well as the latest point standings are available at www.USMTS.com.

`September 2nd, 2012 - Sunday evening found Dereck entering his fifth event in as many nights as he traveled to Dodge County Speedway (Kasson, Minnesota) for a $3,250-to-win, Hunt for the Casey's USMTS Cup event. Thirty-eight competitors were in action, and the night started slowly for Ramirez as he started eighth in his heat race before finishing seventh. His heat race finish left him starting tenth in a b-main, and Dereck would mount a great charge through the field to a second place finish, which locked him into the fifteenth starting spot for the finale. He would go on to register a fourteenth place finish in the final rundown in the main event. Full results from the event are available at www.USMTS.com.

`September 1st, 2012 - A pair of Hunt for the Casey's USMTS events were held on Friday and Saturday night in Minnesota and Dereck would record a mixed bag of results. Chateau Raceway (Lansing, Minnesota) was the destination on Frdiay night. Thirty-four competitors entered the $3,000-to-win event, and Ramirez recorded an impressive sixth to first run in the third heat race to find himself positioned in the redraw for the feature. After receiving the fourth starting spot for the feature, Dereck battled in the top ive early in the event before ultimately crossing the finish line in the seventh position.

On Saturday the team traveled up the highway to Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minnesota) for a $4,400-to-win event, which drew a talent-laden field of fifty-seven drivers. A large number at the pill draw left Dereck starting eighth on the grid for his heat before passing two cars to finish sixth. He would fail to lock into the feature, and as a result had to run a b-main, where he finished fifth to earn the twenty-sixth starting spot for the 40 lap finale. In the feature he would see his outing come to an early end on lap 17 with mechanical issues. He was credited with a twenty-second place finish.
