1May 25th, 2014 - Dereck continued his strong Memorial Day weekend outing on Saturday night at Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minnesota). Ramirez locked into the third starting position on the grid for the $2,000-to-win finale via preliminary action. He battled amongst the top five throughout much of the event before registering a fifth place finish behind race winner, Brad Waits, Stormy Scott, Joel Alberts, and Joey Jensen.

The weekend drew to a close on Sunday evening as the team traveled to Upper Iowa Speedway (Decorah, Iowa) for a $2,000-to-win program. Ramirez drew the second starting spot for the first heat race and finished third, earning him the ninth starting spot for the feature. During the course of the 40 lap main event he advanced four positions to record another fifth place finish behind race winner, Johnny Scott, Zack VanderBeek, Kelly Shryock, and Stormy Scott.

1May 23rd, 2014 - Dereck kicked off a busy Memorial Day weekend with the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) on Wednesday night. A $2,000-to-win event was contested at Cedar County Raceway (Tipton, Iowa), as twenty-one Open Wheel Modified competitors registered for battle. Ramirez charged from seventh to finish third in heat race action, earning him a spot in the redraw for the 40 lap feature. After receiving the fifth starting spot for the finale Dereck raced to a fourth place finish in the final rundown behind race winner, Stormy Scott, Johnny Scott, and Zack VanderBeek.

Thursday evening the USMTS tour took the team to Buena Vista Raceway (Alta, Iowa) for another $2,000-to-win program. With twenty-one entries in the pit area Ramirez won his heat race to earn a spot in the redraw for the 40 lap finale. He drew the sixth starting spot for the main even and would go on to advance to a third place finish behind race winner Zack VanderBeek, and Stormy Scott. Kelly Shryock and Jake Gallardo rounded out the top five finishers.

Friday night found the team at Chateau Raceway (Lansing, Minnesota) for a $2,000-to-win program with the USMTS warriors. Thirty entries filled the pit area, and Ramirez started his outing with a third place finish in his heat race to lock into the tenth starting spot for the feature. During the course of the feature he drove past four other competitors en route to a sixth place finish behind race winner, Brandon Davis, Clayton Wagamon, Zack VanderBeek, Johnny Scott, and Daniel Hilsabeck.

1May 16th, 2014 - After a few weeks away from the track, Dereck Ramirez returned to the seat over the weekend as the team entered a pair of $2,000-to-win events with the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS).

Action got underway with a $2,000-to-win program a Lawton Speedway (Lawton, Oklahoma). A strong field of forty-seven entries entered the event, and in heat race competition Dereck fell short of locking into the feature, but a sixth to fourth run in his b-main locked him into the nineteenth starting spot for the 40 lap finale. Struggles in the main event relegated Ramirez to a 22nd place finish in the final rundown.

On Friday evening the team traveled to Longdale Speedway (Longdale, Oklahoma) as the team looked to put Friday night's disappointment behind them. An eighth to third in heat race action earned Dereck a spot in the evenings redraw for the 40 lap feature. After receiving the seventh starting spot for the finale Ramirez would move into the top five early and chase leader Stormy Scott for much of the race. Dereck wound up in the runner-up position at the checkered flag behind race winner, Stormy Scott. Rodney Sanders, Bryan Rowland, and Johnny Scott rounded out the top five finishers.
