1September 21st, 2014 - After a few weeks away from the track Dereck Ramirez entered the opening round of the 16th Annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree on Thursday night. With ninety-two entries in the pits, and a fourth to third run in his heat race left Dereck just short of locking into the feature. In the b-main, Ramirez raced to a fifth place finish, failing to reach a transfer position as his night came to an early end.

On Friday action resumed with Dereck racing from twelfth to a fifth place finish in his heat race, which left him short of locking into the feature. As a result he would have to run a b-main, but again his night would come to a disappointing early end when he failed to qualify for the main event.

The weekend was set to come to a close on Saturday however, a day of blue skies and sunshine quickly turned to dark skies, rain and lightning in the early evening and forced the postponement of the 16th Annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree finale until Sunday afternoon.

Dereck looked to end his weekend on a solid note on Sunday evening as the winner's check increased to $12,000. After starting fourth in his heat race he only managed to advance one position to a third place finish. He later won his b-main from the pole position, locking him into the eighteenth starting spot on the feature grid. During the course of the 50 lap finale, Ramirez advanced to a sixteenth place finish in the final rundown.

Dereck finished sixth in the final Hunt for the Casey's Cup standings. Full results from the events as well as the latest standings are available at www.USMTS.com.
