1April 11th, 2015 - Mother Nature continued to rattle the 2015 United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) schedule over the weekend. After the events at Super Bowl Speedway and RPM Speedway were nixed by rain, a doubleheader was set for Longdale Speedway (Longdale, Oklahoma) on Friday and Saturday.

Twenty Open Wheel Modifieds warriors registered for Friday night's event, which posted a $3,000 winner's check. A fifth to second run in heat race action would earn Derick the pole position for the main event with Johnny Scott alongside. Scott took control at the start of the 30-lapper and led flag-to-flag for the victory over Grant Junghans. Ramirez settled for a third place finish with Jesse Sobbing and Rodney Sanders rounding out the top five finishers.

Saturday night's program at Longdale Speedway would also fall victim to Mother Nature.

Ramirez is currently third in the USMTS Southern Region standings. Complete results from the events and the latest series' standings are available at www.USMTS.com.
