1July 25th, 2015 - On Thursday night Dereck Ramirez traveled to Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minnesota) for the USMTS sanctioned 5th Annual World Modified Dirt Track Championship presented by Red Tail Tackle. With 63 Open Wheel Modifieds signed in on night number one, Ramirez logged a 5th place outing in his heat transferring him into the B-Main. Placing 3rd in the B-Main, Dereck went on to advance four spots in the 30-lap feature registering a 19th place finish.

The following night with the same car count of 63 Open Wheel Modifieds, Dereck failed to make the 30-lap feature with a 4th place finish in his heat. Edging his way into the feature with a 4th place outing in his B-Main, Ramirez improved nine spots in the feature event logging a 17th place finish.

1Wrapping up they busy weekend, Dereck earned a spot into the first 30-lap feature with a 8th place finish in his B-Main. Starting in 20th, Derek Ramirez retired the same position setting him up for the second feature. Given 10 minutes to make any last adjustments to the car, Ramirez headed out for the 50-lap finale with a 20th place starting spot. With $15,000 on the line for the feature presented by Red Tail Tackle, Derek registered a 18th place finish.

1July 18th, 2015 - Dereck Ramirez made the journey to I-80 Speedway (Greenwood, Nebraska) on Friday competing in two nights of action in the United States Modifieds Touring Series (USMTS). In a field of 30 Open Wheel Modifieds, Dereck scored a heat race victory transferring him into the $3,000 to win feature event. Starting in 8th for the 35-lap Casey’s General Stores A-Main, Ramirez improved three spots logging a 5th place finish behind Rodney Sanders, Jason Hughes, Jeremy Payne, and Terry Phillips.

The following night saw 27 Modifieds sign in for the $3,000 to win feature event. Retiring another heat race victory from his 2nd place starting spot, Dereck transferred into the A-Main with a 7th palce starting spot. Looking to top his previous 5th place finish, Ramirez fell back in the feature recording a 23rd place exit in the 35-lapper.

1July 11th, 2015 - On Thursday night Dereck Ramirez traveled to Tyler County Speedway (Middlebourne, West Virginia) for the three-day Mega 100. With 131 Open Wheel Modifieds signed in for Saturday’s ultimate payday of $12,000, Dereck would have to rely on his B-Main to transfer into the feature after placing 5th in his heat. Needed a 5th place spot or better, Ramirez pulled off a 2nd place finish earning him a spot into the feature event. Battling in a field of 30 cars for the 100-lapper, Dereck Ramirez retired a 23rd place finish.
