1June 27th, 2015 - Kicking off the busy week in the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS), Dereck Ramirez visited Heart O’ Texas Speedway (Elm Mott, Texas). With 32 Modifieds on hand for the $3,000 to win feature event, Ramirez logged a heat race win from his 3rd place starting spot. After leading the A-Main for 26 laps, Dereck fell back to register a 19th place finish.

On Wednesday night Dereck Ramirez continued on the USMTS schedule making the trip to Devil’s Bowl Speedway (Mesquite, Texas). In a field of 41 Open Wheel Modifieds, Dereck captured a heat race victory transferring him into the feature event. Starting in 8th for the Casey’s General Stores A-Main, Ramirez battled his way to retire a 4th place finish behind Grant Junghans, Triston Dycus, and Jason Hughes with Garrett Gregory coming in 5th.

1The following night brought Dereck to East Texas Speedway (Petty, Texas) to a smaller field of 33 entries. Returning on the USMTS schedule, Ramirez charged from his 5th place starting spot to record another heat race victory. With a 5th place start spot, Dereck Ramirez scored another 4th place finish behind Philip Houston, Rodney Sanders and Bobbly Malchus with Johnny Scott rounding out the top five.

The next stop on the USMTS schedule was at Southern Oklahoma Speedway (Ardmore, Oklahoma) on Friday night. With 41 Open Wheel Modifieds signed in for the $3,000 event, Dereck Ramirez followed up a 3rd place outing in his heat with a top five finish in the feature. Starting in 15th, Dereck advanced ten spots in the 40-lap A-Main to retire a 5th place finish behind Triston Dycus, Jason Hughes, Rodney Sanders, and Clyde Dunn Jr.

On Saturday night Ramirez headed to Lawton Speedway (Lawton, Oklahoma) to wrap up the busy USMTS week. In a stout field of 31 entries, Dereck registered another top five finish in the Casey’s General Stores A-Main. Capturing a heat win, Dereck Ramirez gained three spots in the feature event to finish 2nd behind Rodney Sanders with Steve Whiteaker Jr., Jesse Sobbing, and Cade Dillard reporting in the top five.

1June 20th, 2015 - Dereck Ramirez returned to United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) action on Thursday night at 81 Speedway (Park City, Kansas) piloting his #4 Cornett Racing Engines/LG21 Open Wheel Modified. With a packed house of 58 entries, Dereck had to rely on his B-Main performance after placing 4th in his heat. Transferring in the Casey’s General Stores A-Main with a 2nd place spot in the B-Main, Ramirez went on to advance eight spots in the feature to register a 9th place finish.

The following night brought Dereck to Red River Speedway (Wichita Falls, Texas) for another USMTS event. Via a stacked field of 36 Open Wheel Modifieds, Ramirez scored a 2nd place finish in his heat transferring him into the Casey’s General Stores A-Main. Starting in 5th, Dereck Ramirez jumped two spots to record a 3rd place finish behind Rodney Sanders and Jesse Sobbing, with Triston Dycus and Johnny Scott rounding out the top five finishers.

On Saturday night to wrap up the busy weekend, Dereck Ramirez made the trip to Route 66 Motor Speedway (Amarillo, Texas) for USMTS event. With a stout field of 45 Open Wheel Modifieds on hand for the 6th Annual Amarillo Ambush, Ramirez captured a heat win transferring him into the 40-lap feature event. Starting in 5th, Dereck worked his way up to a 2nd place finish behind the red hot Rodney Sanders, with Steve Whiteaker Jr., Stormy Scott and Casey Arneson completing the top five.
