1May 23rd, 2015 - On Thursday night the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) traveled to Crawford County Speedway (Denison, Iowa). Out of the 31 entries signed up for Thursday’s night event, Dereck Ramirez was able to work his way up through the field and record a 2nd place finish in the heat. After starting in the 7th position, Dereck ended the 45-lap feature event in 24th.

The next stop on the USMTS series brought Dereck to Chateau Raceway (Lansing, Minnesota). Following a 6th place exit in his heat, Dereck Ramirez recorded a 13th place finish in the A-Main after starting in 24th.

Saturday night's USMTS event brought the Series to Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minnesota). With 47 cars signed up for the night's show, Dereck Ramirez won his heat transferring him into the Casey's General Stores A-Main. After an intense 40-lap feature, Dereck managed to jump up one position and record a 7th place finish in the A-Main.

1May 18th, 2015 - After Mother Nature cancelled the last four shows on Dereck’s schedule, the next stop on the campaign was I-94 Speedway in Fergus Falls Minnesota. Dereck earned a 4th place finish in his heat at the USMTS event, registering him a spot in the B-Main. After recording a 3rd place finish, Dereck earned a spot into the Casey’s General Stores A-Main event. Starting in 18th Dereck was able to battle for the 35-lap feature to record a 22nd place finish.

Next on the schedule was another USMTS event at Ogilvie Raceway in Ogilvie Minnesota. After starting 5th in his heat, Dereck was able to register for a spot in the B-Main with 4th place finish. Via the preliminary action Dereck earned a 13th place starting spot in the USMTS A-Main event. Dereck was able to move up one position and capture a 12th place finish in the Casey’s General Store 40-lap feature.

1May 2nd, 2015 - After almost a month away from the driver's seat Dereck Ramirez returned to action over the weekend in a pair of United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) events in Missouri. Unfortunately it would prove to be a tough weekend for the team.

On Friday evening a $3,000-to-win event was held at the 4/10 mile oval at Lakeside Speedway (Kansas City, Kansas). Via preliminary action Derek locked into the 12th starting spot for the feature. Unfortunately mechanical issues in the main event forced him to retire on lap 22 to a 20th place finish.

Saturday night found the action shifting to Randolph County Raceway (Moberly, Missouri for a $3,000-to-win program. Mechanical issues again plauged Derek throughout the night, and while he was awarded a series provisional he was unable to make the call for the feature grid as his night came to an early end.
