1July 23rd, 2016 - Competing in the 6th Annual Silver Dollar Nationals, Dereck Ramirez invaded I-80 Speedway (Greenwood, Nebraska) on Friday night for the two-day United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) sanctioned program. With forty-four Open Wheel Modifieds signed in for the MSD Central Region event presented by Day Motor Sports, Ramirez improved one spot in his first heat of the night recording a 3rd place finish. Starting in 8th for his next heat, Dereck advanced through the field five spots notching another 3rd place finish. Earning a 13th place starting spot for the Cubby’s Chase Race A-Main, Dereck Ramirez passed four cars in the 24-lapper posting a 9th place finish.

On Saturday night with a 9th place starting spot secured for the MalvernBank.com Dash, Ramirez fell one position logging a 10th place outing. Starting in 10th for the $5,000-to-win Casey’s General Stores A-Main, Dereck fell back to a 25th place exit in the 42-lap affair.

1July 16th, 2016 - On Saturday night Dereck Ramirez traveled to I-35 Speedway (Winston, Missouri) for the United State Modified Touring Series (USMTS) MSD Central Region presented by Day Motorsports. Drawing thirty-four entries for the 8th Annual Seeburg Mufflers Missouri Meltdown, Ramirez transferred into the B-Main after placing 6th in his heat. Posting a runner-up finish in his consolation event behind Cory Wray, Dereck was slated to start 16th for the feature. With $3,000 on the line, Dereck Ramirez gained eight positions breaking into the top ten with a 8th place finish.
