September 23rd, 2017 - Dereck Ramirez headed to Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minnesota) on Thursday for the opening night of the 19th annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree. Drawing 98 cars for the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) sanctioned weekend, Ramirez streaked through the field eight spots in his heat race to place 2nd behind Joe Duvall. Rolling off 6th for the opening night $6,000-to-win feature, Dereck dropped three positions in the 40-lap affair notching a 9th place finish.

Returning on Friday, Ramirez landed a runner-up finish in his heat behind Josh Angst locking him into the 11th-starting position for the A-Main. Moving up one spot, Dereck registered a 10th place outing.

Wrapping up the 19th annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree on Saturday, Ramirez gained four spots in his heat notching a 2nd place finish behind Chris Henigan. Earning the 11th-starting position for the $10,000-to-win finale, Dereck Ramirez improved five spots in the 50-lap affair posting a 6th place finish.

September 3rd, 2017 - On Wednesday night Dereck Ramirez followed the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) Hunt for the Casey’s Cup to Kossuth County Speedway (Algona, Iowa) for the $5,000 top prize. In a field of 26 cars, Dereck improved three positions in his heat race to place 4th. Earning the 3rd-starting spot for the A-Main, Ramirez held his position for all 35-laps notching a 3rd place finish behind Stormy Scott and Ryan Gustin with Ricky Thornton Jr. and Jason Hughes completing the Top 5 finishers.

The following night brought Ramirez to Fairmont Raceway (Fairmont, Minnesota) for the 10th annual USMTS Summer Slam. Passing three cars in his heat, Dereck streaked to an 8-lap heat race win positioning him 2nd on the starting grid for the $4,500-to-win A-Main. Dropping out of the Top 10, Dereck Ramirez slipped back to a 14th place outing in the 25-lapper.

For the sixteenth round of the Hunt for Casey’s Cup, Ramirez was one of 26 Open Wheel Modifieds signed in at Fayette County Speedway (West Union, Iowa) on Friday. Moving up two spots in his heat, Dereck recorded a 3rd place finish earning him the 2nd-starting position for the main event. With $4,500 on the line, Ramirez dropped seven spots to place 9th.

On Saturday Dereck headed to Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minnesota) for the 12th annual Labor Day Duel presented by Barclay Landscaping. Gaining three spots in his heat, Ramirez posted a 4th place finish transferring him into the B-Main. Sending the Top 6 into the A-Main, Dereck registered a 4th place finish positioning him 17th on the starting grid for the feature. Breaking into the Top 10, Dereck Ramirez advanced seven positions in the 40-laps registering a 10th place outing.

Closing out the five-night stretch with the USMTS, Ramirez invaded Cresco Speedway (Cresco, Iowa) on Sunday for the 15th annual Cresco Bowl. Following a 5th place finish in his heat, Dereck passed six cars in the feature logging a 9th place finish.
