August 25, 2018 - Saturday night brought 20 United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) followers to Park Jefferson Speedway (Jefferson, South Dakota) on Saturday night for the River City Rumble. Jumping up one spot in his 8-lap heat, Ramirez cruised to a heat race victory positioning him the pone for the $3,500-to-win A-Main. Losing two spots in the 35-lap affair, Dereck notched a 3rd place finish behind Lucas Schott and Terry Phillips with Rodney Sanders and Kent Arment completing the Top-5 finishers.

On Sunday night at Casino Speedway (Watertown, South Dakota) for the Sandy Benson Memorial, Dereck jumped up four spots in his heat to place 2nd behind Adam Kates. Starting the feature in 4th, Ramirez passed two cars in the 40-lap affair reeling in a runner-up finish behind Johnny Scott with Tyler Peterson, Adam Kates, and Terry Philips trailing them to the line.

August 18, 2018 - After Mother Nature wiped out Thursday’s program at I-35 Speedway (Winston, Missouri), Derek Ramirez followed the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) to Lakeside Speedway (Kansas City, Kansas) on Friday evening for the 3rd annual Grant Junghans Memorial. With 48 cars registered in for action, Dereck passed six cars in his heat to place 2nd behind Kerry Davis. Earning the 7th-starting positon for the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Ramirez dropped three spots in the 32-lap affair to place 10th.

The following night at Salina Highbanks Speedway (Pryor Creek, Oklahoma) for the 6th annual Salute to our Veterans, Ramirez locked his spot into the A-Main with a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Johnny Scott. With $3,000 on the line, Dereck gained one spot in the 35-lapper notching a 9th place finish.

August 12, 2018 - Dereck Ramirez returned with the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS)  on Friday evening at I-94 Speedway (Fergus Falls, Minnesota) for the 4th annual Casey’s General Stores Summersota Nationals. In a field of 34 cars, Ramirez locked his spot into the opening night feature with an 8-lap heat race victory. Starting the feature in 7th, Dereck dropped three positions logging a 10th place outing.

On Saturday at Ogilvie Raceway (Ogilvie, Minnesota) for the Modified Madness, Ramirez started the night off with a heat win positioning him 6th on the starting grid for the A-Main. Hanging on to a Top-10 finish, Dereck slipped up three spots to place 9th.

Sunday night brought 15 USMTS followers to Mason City Motor Speedway (Mason City, Iowa) for the All-In 77. Following a 3rd place finish in his heat, Dereck held his spot for all 40-laps in the feature registering a 5th place finish behind Terry Phillips, Lucas Schott, Rodney Sanders, and Zack VanderBeek.

August 4, 2018 - Friday night found Dereck Ramirez in action at Humboldt Speedway (Humboldt, Kansas) for the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) sanctioned Summer Fling. In a field of 31 cars, Ramirez gained three spots in his heat reeling in a 2nd place finish behind Kyle Thompson. Starting the feature in 2nd, Dereck dropped two positions scoring a 4th place finish behind Zack VanderBeek, Stormy Scott, and Rodney Sanders with R.C. Whitwell coming in 5th.

The following night at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Missouri) for the Slick Mist Show-Me Shootout, Dereck followed up a 3rd place finish in his heat with a 2nd place finish in his B-Main behind R.C. Whitwell. Earning the 15th-starting position for the feature, Ramirez held his spot for all 40-laps to place 15th.
