Runner-up finishes at Longdale Speedway

On Friday afternoon Dereck Ramirez visited Longdale Speedway (Longdale, Okla.) piloting his Boom-Test Well Service No. 4r Modified for the Tumbleweed Modified Madness. In a field of 21 USRA Modifieds, Ramirez secured his spot into the opening night feature with an 8-lap heat race victory. Dropping one spot in the 20-lap affair, Dereck notched a second place finish behind Lucas Schott with R.C. Whitwell, Jon Herring Jr., and Vince Lucas rounding out the Top-5.

On Saturday evening, Dereck passed five cars in his heat race to pick up the win. With $1,500 on the line in the feature, Ramirez was an early retiree from the 20-lapper on lap 12.
